Witnesses appeal after cyclist found dead in Cambridge
The man from Trumpington was pronounced dead at the scene
Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was found dead on a cycle path in Cambridge.
Emergency services were called to the guided busway cycle path, underneath the Long Road Bridge at 3:10am this morning ( Wednesday 28 January).
The 49-year-old cyclist, a man from Trumpington, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death is being treated as unexplainable, but police are appealing for information on what may have led to it.
DC Les Ellmer said:
“I am appealing to anyone who may have seen this man earlier in the morning or evening of yesterday to get in touch with us and help us with our enquiries. His bike was bright yellow and quite distinctive.”
