An investigation into a suspicious item found at a property in Oil Mill Lane, Wisbech has found it was neither dangerous nor explosive.

Initially, a 100-metre precautionary cordon was established around the residence following reports of a suspicious item, with Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams present to manage the situation.

Authorities had advised avoiding Oil Mill Lane, Aldi, and Old Market Street during the investigation.

Following the examination, the cordon has been scaled back to the property, and residents are thanked for their patience during the process.

A 33-year-old man arrested on suspicion of possessing explosive items remains in custody at Kings Lynn Police Investigation Centre.

The details surrounding the item remain undisclosed, and police continue to urge compliance with their guidance until the situation is fully resolved.
