Arrest made as bomb disposal teams respond to reports of suspicious item in Wisbech

A precautionary 100-metre cordon has been established around an address in Oil Mill Lane, Wisbech, following reports of a suspicious item located inside the property.

Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officers are currently at the scene, ensuring the situation is safely managed.

Authorities have advised avoiding Oil Mill Lane, Aldi, and Old Market Street while the investigation continues.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing explosive items in relation to the incident.

He is currently held at Kings Lynn Police Investigation Centre.
