Police in Cambridgeshire are searching for two missing teenagers after a car carrying five people crashed into the River Nene near Wisbech.

Cambridgeshire Police say the collision happened at around 8.20pm on Tuesday (17 March) when the vehicle left the road while traveling southbound on North Brink in Wisbech St Mary’s.

The car submerged into the river, but three occupants—a male and two females—managed to escape and were subsequently taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn with non-life-threatening injuries.

The police have reported that two teenagers, a male and a female, remain unaccounted for as searches continue.

North Brink is expected to stay closed throughout Wednesday as investigations proceed.

Authorities are urging witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage related to the incident to contact them.
