Tribute paid to woman after fatal collision near Guyhirn

The woman who died in a collision on the A605 at Ring's End, near Guyhirn, has been named as Sharon Storey, 61, of Walsoken, Wisbech.

Her family has released the following tribute to her: “We are absolutely devastated by the loss of Sharon, who was a much-loved sister, aunty, great-aunty and a friend to many.

"Sharon was kind-hearted and always put others first, she was a volunteer at the local charity shops. Sharon will be sadly missed by family and everyone who knew her.

"We would like to thank the emergency services and anyone else who attended to Sharon and, for their continuing support to us."

Police are appealing for witnesses.

She was driving a silver MG HS, when it was involved in a collision with a red Hyundai Kona, at about 2.50pm on Saturday, 13 June.

A 41-year-old woman, from Whittlesey, was arrested, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She has been released on police bail to return on 7 September.

Officers are appealing for information and dashcam footage from anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or the vehicles leading up to it.
