Sex offender jailed for breaching court orders
Vincent Flemons has been sentenced for violating a Sexual Harm Prevention Order
A registered sex offender has been sentenced to one year in prison following multiple breaches of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
The order was initially imposed on Vincent Flemons, 53, in July 2025 due to previous offences involving children, requiring him to refrain from using instant messaging services that do not save internet history without obtaining prior written consent.
Police were alerted in February through monitoring software on Flemons' phone, discovering that Flemons had downloaded a social media app which does not record chat history without securing necessary permissions.
Further investigation revealed additional violations, including the deletion of several apps like Instagram and Twitter from his device, and staying at an unreported location in Waterbeach, contravening conditions of his SHPO that mandate all internet history be retained on any device he uses and changes of address be reported to the police within three days.
Flemons, who has no known address, appeared at Huntingdon Law Courts on 7th May, where he admitted to two counts of breaching his SHPO and one count of failing to comply with Sex Offenders Register notifications.
Detective Constable Sonia Kauser, leading the investigation, expressed satisfaction with Flemons' sentencing, remarking, "Flemons was well aware of the conditions of his SHPO, but decided to breach them anyway. I’m pleased that he has now faced justice, and I hope this case shows how committed we are to managing sexual offenders and ensuring they comply with court orders."
