A man who stole hundreds of pounds worth of meat from stores in Cambridge has been jailed.

Josh Collinson-Prime took meat and chocolate from Co-Op stores in Hills Road, Histon Road, Milton Road, Mill Road and Chesterton Road on nine occasions between 14 September and 24 March.

The 30-year-old also breached his two-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) which was handed to him in October stating he must not enter any Co-Op, Sainsbury’s or BP store within Cambridgeshire or conceal any item in any shop

At Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court Collinson-Prime, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to eight counts of breaching a CBO, nine counts of theft and two counts of bike theft.

He was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Sergeant Dan Scott, from the Spree Offender Team, said: “CBO’s are designed to prevent thieves from entering areas where they have previously committed crime and any breaches are taken extremely seriously by the courts.”
