Serial car arsonist jailed after string of vehicle fires across Fenland
Man sentenced to more than a year in prison after deliberately setting multiple vehicles alight in Chatteris and Wisbech

A man responsible for a series of deliberate vehicle fires in Fenland has been sentenced to more than a year behind bars.
25-year-old Rolandas Fedorenko was convicted after carrying out a number of arson attacks targeting parked cars in Chatteris and Wisbech during 2025.
The first incident took place in the early hours of 1 April, when Fedorenko used burning toilet paper and plastic to ignite a Nissan Juke parked in Furrowfields car park, Chatteris.
The blaze completely destroyed the vehicle and also caused damage to a nearby van and a fence.
Several months later, he struck again in Wisbech. On 1 November, he placed a burning cap beneath the wheel arch of a Mini Cooper parked in Palmers Place, causing fire damage to the car and a nearby van.
His final attack occurred on 25 November behind Market Place in Wisbech, where he attempted to set another Mini Cooper on fire by placing a burning sock under one of its wheel arches. The flames failed to spread significantly, resulting in only minor damage.
Police arrested Fedorenko just hours after the final incident. He has since been jailed for more than 12 months for the offences.
Fedorenko, of Waterlees Road, Wisbech, admitted the six counts of arson and was jailed for 14 months at Cambridge Crown Court on Friday (10 July).
Detective Sergeant Leeza McCormick said: “The victims of these fires had valuable possessions destroyed and were left without their normal means of transport.
“It is also fortunate the fires did not spread to any nearby buildings and put people at risk.”
