Repeat shoplifter jailed for almost two years in Cambridgeshire

A shoplifter who took cash and thousands of pounds worth of alcohol from shops across Cambridge has been jailed.

39 year old Louis Kidd's will spend one year and ten months in prison after admitting shoplifting, burglary, and breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order.

Kidd carried out a spate of burglaries and thefts including five break-ins at Robert Graham Ltd in Sussex Street - where he stole more than £2,000 worth of alcohol and £142 in cash.

He also broke into the Asda warehouse at the Beehive Centre on, again, stealing bottles of alcohol.

The 39-year-old also targeted Co-ops in Milton Road and Hills Road on nine separate occasions - stealing items including ice cream, chocolate, shampoo, meat and laundry products.
