Police are investigating following the sudden death of a driver in South Cambridgeshire.

Officers and paramedics were called to Royston Road in Melbourn at around 9:15 yesterday morning (7th) and found a red Honda CR-V SR had pulled over onto the side of the road.

The driver, a 58-year old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say no other vehicles were involved and the death is not being treated as suspicious, but they are asking for witnesses to come forward.

Sergeant Timothy Davies, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “This was a very sad incident and I would like to hear from witnesses and anyone with dashcams who may have passed the Honda.”
