Police appeal after pedestrian seriously injured in collision

Cambridgeshire Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a pedestrian was left with serious injuries following a collision in Peterborough.

Officers on patrol came across the collision on the A15 in Bourges Boulevard, between the junctions with Mayor’s Walk and Westfield Road, at just after 10.30pm last night (27 August).

It involved a white Toyota Auris travelling southbound.

The pedestrian, a 30-year-old man from Peterborough, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition.

The driver, a 25-year-old man from Peterborough, was uninjured and arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He remains in custody.
