Festival vibes are back, as the award-winning Peterborough Weekender brings live music and entertainment to the heart of the city.

This weekend, Peterborough Positive will once again transform Cathedral Square into a vibrant destination for people to come together, featuring big-screen performances celebrating some of Glastonbury’s most iconic moments, alongside live music.

As well as big-screen Glastonbury sets from years gone by and live performances, highlights across the weekend include:

• Live Art Jam by Angry Pencil on the Cathedral Lawn

• Free music-themed film club in Wildwood’s intimate cinema room

• Free comedy performances at The Bull Hotel, Bijou and Chaat and Chill

• City Centre Market featuring crafts, cakes, bakes, and food and drink

Chief Operating Officer at Peterborough Positive, Pep Cipriano, said: “After the incredible success of last year’s award-winning event, we’re excited to be turning the volume up again this Summer as the Peterborough Weekender returns with even more live music and performances.

“Celebrating Peterborough’s musical heritage and local talent, the event brings people into the heart of the city centre where they can enjoy live entertainment and family-friendly activities, while supporting our businesses, venues and night-time economy.

“We’re also delighted to be keeping local traditions alive by bringing the famous Bull and Dolphin Shuffle to Cathedral Square over the weekend, so come and join us for a uniquely Peterborough experience.”

While seating will be provided in Cathedral Square, attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets or camping chairs to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
