Peterborough United could become the first team to lift the EFL trophy twice in a row later.

If the Posh, who are the current champions, win, they would be the first team to retain the trophy.

Standing in their way are League One leaders Birmingham, who secured promotion after winning 2-1 against Peterborough on Tuesday.

I feel proud that we've given the fans another day out at Wembley

Peterborough United manager, Darren Ferguson, said:

"I feel proud that we've given the fans another day out at Wembley."

"That was a big motivation for me."

"But I feel in many ways they're quite lucky, the fans. They've had a lot of success at this football club."

"To get to Wembley twice in two years is quite rare, so I thank them for their support because it's been challenging for them this season, and I was really pleased that we managed to get that in a season like this."

"I've got a lot of belief in this team, and I know we have to go there and perform really high, but I know that if we can and if we get to the levels we have shown, then I have no question that we can win the game."

Last year Peterborough United took home the trophy winning 2-1 to Wycombe.

Harrison Burrows scored both goals but it was close call with no goals from either team until the 85th minute.

Kick off at Wembley is at 3pm.
