Police investigating a man’s death in Peterborough have arrested two more people on suspicion of murder.

Zbigniew Wasiak, 59, was found dead inside a house on Wootton Avenue, Fletton, after a fire was reported at around 3.35am on 7 September.

A post-mortem carried out yesterday (10 September) confirmed that Mr Wasiak died from a single stab wound to the neck, not from the fire.

Earlier this week, two 35-year-old men from Peterborough were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Now, police have confirmed that a 29-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, also from Peterborough, have been arrested in connection with the same investigation.

All four suspects are currently being held at Thorpe Wood police station.

The investigation is ongoing.
