A man has been jailed for more than four years for hitting, kicking and stabbing a man he claimed to be "helping" in Cambridge.

Steven Holland (54) told police he was assisting the victim when he turned up in Tenison Road looking for a friend in January 2024.

But he was caught on CCTV, repeatedly physically attacking the 50-year-old.

The victim was then dragged into an alleyway, only for Holland to return and keep hurting him.

When paramedics found him, he had a broken nose, black eyes, wounds on his neck and face, broken ribs and bruising.

Holland pleaded guilty at Cambridge Crown Court to wounding with intent.

He has been sentenced to four years and two months in prison.
