Man jailed for brandishing knife on Christmas Day
Philip Evans denied possession of a knife in a public place and a separate charge of wounding with intent
A man who ran out of a Peterborough flat brandishing a knife on Christmas Day has been jailed.
Philip Evans, 46, left the property in Lowick Gardens, Westwood, at about 5pm on 25 December with the kitchen knife.
He was identified and arrested the following day.
Evans, of Lowick Gardens, denied possession of a knife in a public place and a separate charge of wounding with intent.
On Friday, 14 August, he was acquitted of wounding with intent but found guilty of possession of a knife following a trial at Cambridge Crown Court.
At the same hearing he was jailed for two years.
