Man kicked another man's head in Cambridge over beer request
The victim suffered a bleed on the brain and multiple fractures
A man has been jailed for 18 months after kicking another man in the face during a row over a beer request in Cambridge.
Drew Pinney carried out the attack on 23rd May earlier this year when the victim refused to give him a beer or a cigarette.
As the victim turned away, Pinney stood up and struck him in the face with his foot.
The victim sustained serious injuries, including a bleed on the brain and eight facial fractures.
Following the incident, police were informed the next day and Pinney was subsequently arrested on 27th May.
Appearing at Peterborough Crown Court, Pinney pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm without intent.
Detective Constable Will Kerslake said, "The victim had no opportunity to defend himself and suffered serious injuries because Pinney couldn’t control his anger.”
