Man jailed after threatening to kill ex-partner in Peterborough

A man from Norfolk has been sentenced to three years and ten months in prison after threatening to kill his ex-partner, just a month after being released from custody.'

In May On 13th May, Robbie Grant visited his former partner's home in Peterborough, violating a restraining order that prevented him from contacting her.

During his visit, an argument ensued, after which he left but later called her, threatening to put her "six feet under."

Grant further intimidated the victim by claiming a friend with a shotgun would visit her, leaving her in fear for her life.

Two days later, on 15th May, Grant made additional threats when police officers approached him about the incident.

He was subsequently arrested at a hotel in Peterborough.

At the Peterborough Crown Court hearing on 23rd June, Grant, of Drayton Road, Norwich, admitted to making threats to kill and intimidating a witness.

Detective Constable Roberto Scialla Cooper, who led the investigation, expressed hope that the sentence would help the victim to move on, stating: "Grant’s barrage of threats to hurt and kill the victim left her fearful for her life."
