Pedestrian hurt in Sutton bin lorry crash

A man's been seriously hurt after a collision in Cambridgeshire involving a bin lorry.

It happened at Vermuyden Gardens in Sutton around 9am on Thursday (22nd January).

The 50 year old from Ely's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening but he is being treated in shpital.

The 62 year old driver of the refuse vehicle - who's from East Cambridgeshire - was interviewed at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.

Anyone who saw the incident, or who has doorcam or dashcam footage which might help the investigation is asked to speak to detectives.
