A man accused of murder following the disappearance of a woman from a Fenland village has appeared in court.

Julie Buckley, 54, has not been seen since January 28 as police continue to treat her case as a "no-body" murder investigation.

Karl Hutchings, 47 of The Hill, Christchurch, appeared before Huntingdon Law Courts today (Wednesday) charged with Julie's murder.

A plea and trial preparation hearing has been set for March 19 with a trial listed for September 29.

They have been released on bail.

A 45-year-old man from March - also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender - remains in custody.

Police have launched an appeal for dashcam footage from anyone who was in the Bedlam Bridge area near March between 8pm and 9pm on January 30.
