A Littleport man who failed to stop after a collision and refused to provide a breath test has been sentenced.

Ryan Woollard, of Ten Mile Bank, was driving on the afternoon of July 7 when he crashed into a parked car at a garage on Witchford Road, Ely.

The 27-year-old left the scene at speed and was seen over taking a vehicle along Lynn Road, a 20mph zone.

At Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (26 August), Woollard was sentenced to an 18-month community order after previously pleading guilty to two counts of failing to provide a specimen for analysis, failing to stop after a road accident and driving without insurance.

Woollard must undergo a six-month alcohol treatment plan and pay a £500 fine.
