A man's been left seriously injured after a collision between a van and a car in Babraham, just outside Cambridge, this morning.

Police were called to the A1307 just before half-past five. The collision involved a red Vauxhall Movano flatbed van with a black Nissan Qashqai.

The 52-year-old car driver's been taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital. The Vauxhall van driver, a 45-year-old man, from Hackney, London, was also taken to the same hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

The van driver has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He currently remains in custody.

Officers are asking to speak to witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage.
