Former Cambridgeshire officer dismissed for gross misconduct
PC Price Awuah found to breach professional standards

A former police officer has been dismissed following an accelerated misconduct hearing, revealing breaches in professional standards.
PC Price Awuah, previously stationed at Cambridgeshire Constabulary HQ, was determined to have violated Standards of Professional Behaviour concerning Honesty and Integrity, Orders and Instructions, Duties and Responsibilities, and Discreditable Conduct, amounting to gross misconduct.
Chief Constable Simon Megicks, who chaired the hearing, expressed:
“The behaviour identified in this case represents a serious breach of the standards expected of police officers. Policing relies on honesty, integrity and a clear commitment to following the rules and procedures that underpin public trust."
“The former officer’s actions fell well below those standards and risked bringing the service into disrepute."
The hearing held at Lysander House in Tempsford on 22nd June concluded that, had Awuah not resigned prior, dismissal would have ensued. Additionally, Awuah will be listed on the College of Policing’s barred list.
Such misconduct is deemed unacceptable within policing, warranting decisive measures to uphold public confidence.
