A mental health charity in Peterborough is highlighting how exercise can boost your wellbeing, with a special community workout planned for Mental Health Awareness Week.

CPSL Mind, a local and independent charity supporting thousands across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire, is inviting everyone to take part in a ‘Move For Mind’ workout in Cathedral Square today.

It aims to bring the local fitness community together and start important conversations about mental health.

Participants will join a body weight workout led by personal trainers, with no equipment needed, and are encouraged to make a donation to support CPSL Mind.

“Our theme for Mental Health Awareness Week is Moments of Joy and I have experienced the joy exercise can bring to people’s lives," Olivia Hubbard, Communications and Engagement Manager at CPSL Mind, said.

"For me personally, I am part of a local running group and attend yoga classes; I have recently taken up netball again.

"I am looking forward to taking part in the Move For Mind workout session.”
