Two people have been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of 54-year-old Julie Buckley, who has not been seen since late January.

A 49-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, both from Christchurch, are being questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender - and both remain in custody.

Detectives are treating Julie’s disappearance as a 'no body murder' after evidence suggested she had come to serious harm.

Her last known location was in the Christchurch area, near March, and police have been carrying out searches in the region.

Karl Hutchings, 47, of The Hill, Christchurch, has already been charged with murder in connection with Julie's disappearance. He appeared at Cambridge Magistrates' Court on 17 February and is due to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on 19 February.

The two individuals arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender are expected to be questioned further as part of the investigation.

Police are continuing to search the March and Christchurch areas, and detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Anyone who may have seen Julie in the weeks leading up to her disappearance is urged to contact the investigation team. Those with information can use the dedicated portal or call 101, quoting Operation Dragonfish.
