Cambridgeshire drink driver over three times the limit pleads guilty

A drink driver who was seen drifting across a road was discovered to be more than three times the limit.

Tapiwa Mhishi, 26, was seen by members of the public driving a Jaguar travelling along the A428 towards Caxton, near Cambridge, at about 10.30pm on Sunday (24 August).

They called police as he was driving over the 30mph limit and drifting across the road.

Officers caught up with him in Rampton Road, Longstanton, and he was pulled over near Rampton Drift.

Mhishi, of Rampton Drift, Longstanton, pleaded guilty to drink driving at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (11 September).

He was disqualified for two years and handed a community order to complete 120 hours of unpaid work.
