Cambridge woman banned from supermarkets after theft convictions

A woman in Cambridge has been banned from entering local supermarkets following her conviction for multiple thefts.

Ester Loveridge, 44, who has no fixed address, received a two-year prohibition after being found guilty of stealing items including alcohol, chocolate, meat, and washing powder from Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Co-op, and BP stores on seven occasions between 14th April and 25th May.

Cambridge Crown Court sentenced Loveridge to four months' imprisonment after she pled guilty to four breaches of a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) and seven counts of shop theft.

The two-year Criminal Behaviour Order further restricts Loveridge from entering any Co-op, Tesco, or Sainsbury’s stores in Cambridge, as well as BP Teversham.

This legal action underscores the serious stance towards repeat offences and aims to prevent further occurrences.
