Ben Knight says he's 'over the moon' to have signed a new contract with Cambridge United.
It means the attacker will be with the U's until 2028, having joined last Summer.
He's scored five goals since the start of 2026, meaning he's emerged as the club’s leading goalscorer.
Speaking about his new deal, Ben Knight said, “I am over the moon. I am really happy here and that’s the main thing for me to be playing my best football. I am thankful to the club and the gaffer for showing their trust in me.
“We are in a strong position and it’s a really exciting time. That’s why I want to be here.”
Neil Harris added, “I’m delighted that Ben Knight has agreed a new long-term contract with the football club. Over the last seven months, Ben has developed hugely, both on and off the pitch, and there’s still so much more to come from him.
“He has a clear development pathway in front of him that I believe will see him continue to grow as a footballer, and his form over the last six to eight weeks has certainly coincided with our rise up the league table.”
