A 16-year-old boy from Cambridge has appeared at the Old Bailey accused of neo-Nazi activities and a series of offences, including encouraging self-harm online.

The teenager, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, is said to have been involved in extreme right-wing activities both online and offline from January 2025.

It is alleged that he encouraged self-harm and sexual violence on a Telegram network called Inferno, targeting vulnerable individuals.

The defendant faces various charges, including possession of documents useful to terrorism, criminal damage, making indecent photographs of a child, possessing extreme pornography, and having cannabis.

During his court appearance held via video-link on Friday, he confirmed his identity and was accompanied by a youth worker.

Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb has scheduled a plea hearing for 3rd July, with a provisional trial date set for 9th November before Judge Mark Dennis KC at the Old Bailey.

The teenager has been granted conditional bail.
