A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead in a flat in Huntingdon, with detectives now linking the discovery of a man’s body at a hospital to the case.

Police were called to a flat in Saunders Close at about 5pm yesterday (26 February), where they found the woman’s body. Her family is being supported by specially trained officers.

Enquiries continued overnight, and this morning (27 February), staff at Hinchingbrooke Hospital discovered the body of a man in public toilets. Police were called to the scene and have since linked both deaths as part of their investigation.

A police spokesperson said: “We are treating the woman’s death as murder, and our investigation remains ongoing. At this stage, we are not looking for anyone else in connection with these incidents.”

Detectives have confirmed they believe the deaths to be isolated incidents.
