20-year-old moped rider dies after crash in Cambridge

An investigation is underway.

Police are asking witnesses to come forward following a fatal collision involving a moped and a car in Cambridge.

The tragedy occurred on the B1102 Swaffham Road, Lode, Cambridge, at about 5.20pm on Sunday, 15th February.

In the incident, a white Kia Venga and a black Honda moped collided. A red Toyota Corolla was also involved.

The moped rider, a 20-year-old man, died at the scene.

The driver of the Kia, an 18-year-old woman, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently bailed.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, has relevant dashcam footage, or was in the area at the time or immediately before the incident can provide information via the police website or by calling 101, referencing incident 325 of 15th February.
