Family pay tribute to motorcyclist killed in crash with crop sprayer
Ian Hyde, 41 is being remembered as an "adored daddy"
The family of a 41-year-old man from Over, near Willingham, who lost his life in a collision, has paid tribute to him.
Ian Hyde was involved in a crash between a yellow and black crop sprayer and his orange Triumph motorcycle on B1050 Earith Road, Willingham, at 8pm on 1st July.
He died at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident.
His family has honoured his memory by describing him as an "adored daddy" and a "sanctuary to so many," highlighting his humour, kindness, and the light he brought to their lives.
Hyde’s passion for running, music, cars, and design, as well as his achievements at the Ministry of Defence, were remembered fondly.
Police appeal for information
Following the crash, police have requested witnesses and any dashcam footage that might shed light on the collision.
The driver of the crop sprayer, a man in his 30s from Willingham, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and has been bailed until 1st October.
Sergeant Mark Atkins appealed to the public: “I am appealing to anyone who might have seen the collision or the vehicles in the moments before to get in touch. I would also like to hear from anyone with dashcam footage."
Atkins also expressed gratitude to the local community for their patience during the road closure.
