Baby in critical condition following incident in March

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and drug offences

A baby boy remains in a critical condition in hospital following an incident in March last week.

Emergency services were alerted at around 11am on Saturday, 3rd January to St John’s Chase, where medics were treating the baby who was in a serious, life-threatening condition.

The baby was taken to hospital where his condition remains critical.

A 25-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, both from March, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and possessing Class B/C drugs.

The man and woman have been released on police bail, with police confirming that they are due to return on 2nd April as investigations continue.
