Arrest made after bomb threat reported to school in Eynesbury

A 15-year-old boy from Cambridgeshire has been arrested on suspicion of malicious communications

A teenage boy has been arrested in connection with an incident in Eynesbury yesterday (4 February).

Police were called at about 8:45am to Ernulf Academy with reports the school had received a bomb threat.

Cambridgeshire Police says the school implemented its emergency procedures for a period of time as a precaution.

A 15-year-old boy from Cambridgeshire has been arrested on suspicion of malicious communications. Police say he has since been bailed until 3 May with conditions not to enter or go within the location of the school.

Sergeant Rob Streater, from the St Neots Neighbourhood Team, said: "Neighbourhood officers will be out on foot patrol today and Friday, and available to speak to anyone who may have concerns.

"On behalf of the school and local police, we would like to thank parents and members of the community for their support."
