Appeal after motorcyclist seriously hurt in Peterborough

An investigation has started after a motorcyclist was left with serious injuries in a suspected fail-to-stop collision in Peterborough.
Cambridgeshire Police officers and paramedics were called to the mini-roundabout at the junction of Welland Road and Dogsthorpe Road, at about 3.15pm.
A motorcyclist had been involved in a collision with a car, believed to be a blue Seat Leon, which failed to stop at the scene.
The motorcyclist, a 56-year-old man, from Walton, Peterborough, was taken to Peterborough City Hospital suffering from serious injuries.
DC Alex Bond said: “I am appealing to driver involved in this collision to come forward.
“I would also like to hear from any who saw the collision or has dashcam or CCTV footage of it, to get in touch.”
