Police appeal after serious assault in St Pauls leaves man in hospital

Victim in serious but stable condition following early morning incident

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in St Pauls, Bristol, during the early hours of this morning (Saturday, 22nd November).

Emergency services were called to Ashley Road, near the Criterion, at around 5.30am after the ambulance service reported that a man had been assaulted.

The injured man was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A police cordon has been established in the area, and officers are conducting inquiries.

Residents can expect an enhanced police presence in the area throughout the day, and anyone with concerns is encouraged to speak to their local Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Detectives urge anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area around 5am or who may have relevant information or footage to get in touch.
