Clare Moody, the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Avon and Somerset, has committed over £1 million annually to Safe Link in partnership with One25.

Safe Link provide independent support for anyone who has been the victim of rape and sexual abuse across the whole of Avon and Somerset area.

The funding will ensure the continuation and enhancement of Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) services across the region, who offer specialist support.

Clare Moody, Police and Crime Commissioner for Avon and Somerset, said: “Every survivor’s journey is different, and the work of Safe Link and One25 ensures that victims of sexual violence have access to the specialist support they need, when they need it.

"Services like these are a lifeline, and I’m proud to see this partnership setting the stage to deliver real change for survivors.”

ISVAs provide independent support tailored to each person’s needs- from navigating the criminal justice system to accessing therapeutic services.

"In this new partnership, Safe Link Plus, we commit to reaching out to victims from all communities, providing the independent, specialist and compassionate advice and support that they deserve after being subjected to sexual violence.”

Jenny Riley, CEO of One25, added: “One25 are delighted to partner with Safe Link in delivering this vital support to women who street sex work in Bristol.

"Together we will ensure that more people can get the help they need, when and where they need it.”

The funding includes contributions from the Ministry of Justice, NHS England, and Bristol City Council.
