Woman racially abused on a bus in South Gloucestershire
Police release CCTV images in investigation
Police are urging the public to help identify a man in connection with an incident of racial abuse on a bus in South Gloucestershire.
The abuse took place at about 6.30am on Thursday 16th October when a bus travelling from Bristol city centre stopped at Cribbs Causeway.
A man, described as white, approximately 6ft tall, aged in his 50s and with brown hair, racially abused a woman on the bus before getting off. The woman is in her 40s.
PC Max Sims said: “This was a shocking incident with the victim being subjected to disgusting racist abuse. We are making sure she is kept updated as our investigation progresses.
“We have been reviewing CCTV footage to identify the man responsible and are now asking for the public’s help to identify the man in this image who we want to speak to.”
Anyone who recognises the man is asked to contact the police.
