Man charged with fatal crash in Aust set for court appearance

Daniel Booth faces multiple charges including causing death by dangerous driving

A man is set to appear in court following charges related to a fatal crash in which a cyclist died in Aust last year.

Emergency services attended the scene on Aust Road at around 12.35pm on Sunday 29th June.

The crash involved a car and a bicycle.

56-year-old cyclist Neil Routley from Winterbourne died at the scene.

His family is receiving support from a specialist officer.

Daniel Booth, from Lydney in Gloucestershire, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

Booth is also facing two counts of causing death by driving without due care and attention while over the limit of a controlled drug.

The 30-year-old is scheduled to appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Monday 16th March.
