Man arrested after child assaulted in Weston-super-Mare

Police seek witnesses following Ebdon Road incident

A man in his mid-thirties has been arrested in connection with an assault on a child near a convenience store in Ebdon Road, Weston-super-Mare.

The incident occurred around 6pm on Wednesday, 8th April.

The victim suffered bruising to his face, back, arms, and shoulders but did not require hospital treatment.

Police have released the suspect on conditional bail while investigations continue.

They are maintaining contact with the victim and their family, offering support services as needed.

The force are also appealing for any witnesses of the assault to come forward.
