Traffic is being held on the M4 westbound between Bristol and Bath after a lorry fire.

Drivers facing delays with lane closures between Junctions 18 and 19.

National Highways advises avoiding the area.

The organisation said: "The M4 in South Gloucestershire is closed in westbound due to a HGV Fire which was reported to us shortly after 05:30 this morning.

"Emergency services arrived at scene shortly after and are working to extinguish the fire and make the area safe.

"National Highways Traffic Officers are in attendance assisting with traffic management."
