Three men have been charged following an alleged kidnapping and assault in Bristol.

The incident reportedly took place when a man was seen being forced into a vehicle on College Court, Fishponds, on Tuesday evening.

Witnesses alerted police just after 7pm, leading to patrols spotting the vehicle, a silver Mercedes C220, in north Bristol.

However, it was driven off and later discovered abandoned on Portview Road, Avonmouth.

A man was found nearby with facial fractures and other injuries and is currently receiving medical attention.

His injuries are not currently deemed life-threatening or life-altering.
