Flights at Bristol Airport affected by air traffic control issues

The problem is affecting departures from UK airports

Flights departing the UK have been disrupted by an air traffic control “technical issue”, Nats has said, with Bristol Airport among those that have been affected.

Passengers have been advised to check the latest flight information with their airlines.

Nats said in a statement: “We are investigating a technical issue which is causing some disruption to flight departures.

“Our engineers are on site and we will provide an update as soon as we can.

“We apologise for the delay this will cause to journeys, passengers should check with their airline on the status of their flight.

“We will provide updates on www.nats.aero and on X – @NATS.”

A number of flights departing Bristol Airport have been affected by the technical issue.

A Bristol Airport spokesperson said:

“There is disruption to flights across the UK due to a technical issue with National Air Traffic Services (Nats), which is affecting flights at Bristol Airport.

“We recommend passengers travelling today to contact their airline directly to check the latest flight information and prior to leaving for the airport.”
