Police are investigating after two caravans were damaged in a fire in Goodneston Road, Speedwell, just before 5.40pm last night.
The fire, which officers suspect was started deliberately, destroyed one caravan and caused damage to another. Both caravans were unoccupied at the time, and nobody was injured.
CCTV and house-to-house enquiries are ongoing, and crime scene investigators have attended the location.
Neighbourhoods’ inspector Richard Jones said:
“We are aware of recent incidents on this stretch of road, and we are now working with partner agencies to improve the area.
“While we are not linking this incident to others recently, reassurance patrols will be carried out, and we are now appealing for witnesses and anybody with information to come forward.”
Police are urging anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage captured immediately before and after the fire to contact them on 5226003914 or complete their online appeals form.
A spokesperson for Avon Fire & Rescue said:
“At 5:20 PM on the 5th of January, crews from Kingswood and Temple responded to a caravan fire at Goodneston Road, Bristol.
“Firefighters used 2 breathing apparatus, 2 high-pressure hose reels and 2 triple extension ladders to extinguish the fire.
“The cause of the fire is believed to have been deliberate.”
