Two drivers dead after crash near Bristol

It happened on the A370 at Yanley, near Long Ashton on Saturday.

Two further vehicles were involved in the collision, but no one else was seriously hurt, police said.

Two drivers have died after a crash near Bristol.

Emergency services were called at about 7.45pm on Saturday to the crash on the A370 at Yanley, near Long Ashton, Avon and Somerset Police said.

Despite the efforts of emergency personnel on the scene, the drivers of two cars died, the force added.

Both families have been informed and two family liaison officers are offering support to both families.

Two further vehicles were involved in the collision, but no one else was seriously hurt, police said.

The road remains closed between Colliters Way roundabout and the junction with the B3130 Barrow Street while inquiries continue.
