Bristol Rovers manager Steve Evans signs permanent contract until 2028

Bristol Rovers have confirmed Steve Evans has signed a permanent contract to remain their manager.

Evans, who initially joined in December and has penned a deal until 2028 to remain with the Club.

Paul Raynor his assistant has also signed a deal until 2028.

They have seen an upturn in form and impressed since their arrival.

Speaking to the club's website Evans said:

“It’s fantastic to be at Bristol Rovers, I’m proud to be here. This is a big football club, and the board have big ambitions. I hope to be the guy who gives the Gas family some memorable days in the coming months and years ahead.

"The support has been unbelievable since I walked in. As soon as we started putting a bit of work in the team, and we saw them start to produce the type of performance that we want them to do, the fans have grabbed it and they’ve been tremendous. They are a big reason for why I am here.

"The board have also been absolutely phenomenal with me. Our Chairman, I have had four or five meetings on this with him and he, Abdullatif AlSaeed, Khaled Alkandari, Abdulaziz Alroomi, every one of them has had an input in talking to me and planning for now, for the summer and for the future, so my sincere thank you goes to each of them.”
