Another arrest has been made in the ongoing investigation into the murder of Leon Phillips in Bristol
A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder as part of an investigation into the death of Leon Phillips in east Bristol.
Phillips, 47, died from injuries sustained during a violent attack on Stapleton Road on 2nd February. He succumbed to his injuries in hospital the following morning.
Today's arrest marks the ninth individual detained in relation to the case.
Four of those arrested, aged between 18 and 20, have already faced charges of murder and possession of a weapon.
They appeared in Bristol Crown Court earlier today and were remanded, with a provisional trial date set for November.
Meanwhile, two men who were arrested at the scene and another detained three days later have been released on bail as enquiries continue.
One individual was released without any charges last week.
Specialist family liaison officers are providing support to Leon's family during this difficult time.
