Assault in Bristol leaves two men hospitalised, CCTV images released
Police are looking for two men seen in CCTV who may have information
A search is underway for two men who may hold vital information related to an assault in Bristol.
The incident occurred at around 9.50pm on 31st January on Union Street.
Two men in their mid-thirties were attacked and suffered punches and kicks while on the ground.
One victim was knocked unconscious and sustained a broken collar bone and is currently receiving medical treatment.
The second man has been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.
Police have released images of two men they wish to speak to regarding the incident.
The first individual is described as Asian, with black hair and a beard, donning a long black puffer-style jacket, black trousers, and black shoes.
The second man is described as Asian, with short black hair and a short beard, wearing a grey T-shirt, grey coat with a black collar, grey jeans, and white and black trainers.
The individuals reportedly left the scene in a silver Mercedes C Class and on foot towards Castle Park.
PC Yasmin Rees, the investigating officer, is asking for public help in identifying the men.
“An altercation involving several men unknown to each other resulted in serious injury and we are appealing to the public to assist us identify the two men pictured, who we believe may hold information which could assist our investigation," Rees said.
“We understand incidents such as this will cause concern, but we do not believe there to be any wider threat to the public, and we have identified several witnesses while investigations continue."
Anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, that could assist the investigation is encouraged to reach out to authorities.
