Bristol Airport is increasing its parking charges.

From Monday (March 3rd) 'Drop & Go' will rise from £6 to £7 for up to 10 minutes.

'Short Stay' and 'Pick-Up' will increase by the same amount for 30 minutes of parking.

The airport says increased costs associated with the rise in the National Insurance rate for employers has informed its decision to increase the charges.

It says the increased price also helps discourage longer stays in an area with limited spaces, while also encouraging the use of more sustainable forms of transport to the airport, including public transport.

During the Summer, the airport will be opening a new £60m Public Transport Interchange and Car Park, as part of a £400m upgrade.

It will provide one of the region’s largest coach/bus interchanges, enhancing services and accessibility for customers whether arriving or departing from Bristol Airport.
