Police are releasing an image of a person they would like to speak to, in connection with a number of burglaries, in North Somerset.

Officers received several calls to three burglaries and five attempted burglaries, at properties in Long Ashton, at around 1.30am on Thursday 8 October.

Two vehicles and three pairs of shoes were stolen during the incidents.

Police are now issuing a picture of a individual they would like to speak to.

He is described as white, male, in his late teens or early twenties and is wearing a dark Nike Air Max hooded jumper and shorts.

Officer in the case, Police Constable Joseph Reed, said: “We know incidents like this cause concern in our communities, but residents can be assured we are taking this incredibly seriously and a thorough investigation will be carried out.

“Burglary is an invasive crime, which can have a significant impact on victims, not just in terms of financial and sentimental loss, but it can also make people feel unsafe in their own homes and we urge people to continue reporting such incidents.

“Please do look out for your neighbours, by reporting any unusual activity around homes and vehicles. As the darker evenings draw in, we’d also recommend security lighting and locking up and setting the alarm, if you have one, at night, as well as when you’re out.”

Anybody with information relating to the incident or the identity of the man, pictured, is asked to call 101, quoting reference number 5226335277 or complete the online appeals form
